100% SSC Result

St. Francis de Sales School once again proved its academic excellence with this year's SSC result announced by the Maharashtra State Board of Education. The school achieved 100% result in the SSC examination 2019-20. Out of 169 students, 22 students scored more than 90% marks. Aishwarya Nale topped the school with 96.40%. Shrushti Aherkar stood second with 95.40%. Anjali Chengadia finished third with 95% marks. Aishwarya and Shrishti are national throwball players. They managed to achieve the top result maintaining a perfect balance between sports and study through out the year. Anjali too was an active member of the music club.
National Silver Medal For Gauravi Naik

Gauravi Naik a student of Std IX of St. Francis De Sales School Pune achieved a ground-breaking milestone for the school in athletics. Gauravi bagged a silver medal in 4x100 mtr relay in Girls U-14 category at the 65th National School Athletics Championship held at Sangrur, Punjab representing the Maharashtra State relay team. Earlier she won a Silver Medal in 200m run in the Under 14 girl’s category at the Pune division Athletics Championship securing her place for the State Athletics Championship. She clinched Gold in both 100m and 200m track events at the Pune Zilla Parishad organized District School Athletics Games becoming the ‘Fastest Girl of Pune’.
World Students' Day

Today is *World Students' Day: * October 15 is celebrated as World Students Day every year across the globe. The day is marked to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. It was first celebrated in 2010 in United Nations on Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's birthday when he was 79 years old. Today we honour India's most loved President. World Students Day is celebrated to honour the most loved President of India who was a scientist, a teacher, an author among many other roles that he played. Dr Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, and studied physics and aerospace engineering. He spent the next four decades as a scientist and science administrator, mainly at the DRDO and ISRO.

SFS U-17 Girls Emerged Pune District Champions
October 2019
Girls of St. Francis De Sales School created history for their school winning the Interschool Girls U17 Throwball Championship organized by the District Sports Council in association with the School Games Federation of India.
The tournament was a stunning spectacle of skills and determination by the SFS girls lead by Aishwarya Nale with as many as four players in the team who represented Maharashtra State U-17 Team namely Aishwarya Nale, Vaishnavi Mote, Srushti Aherkar and Sneha Padale.
The team and the coach Mr. Sachin Ghate were felicitated by the school management in a grand program organized in the school.
